Privacy notice for „Number Verify“
The app you are using and in which you can currently see this statement will verify your mobile phone number, which you provided when using this app, with your mobile operator.
For this purpose, the app provider will share your mobile phone number with your IP address (the processing of the IP address is necessary for you to be able to use the app) with your mobile phone provider. Your mobile phone provider uses the IP address to compare if the mobile phone number you entered matches the mobile phone number assigned to the transmitted IP address.
This is to provide additional security during registration, login and password reset to prevent fraud and identity theft and to ensure that you are the real person behind the request.
In this privacy notice, we would like to explain how your mobile operator uses your personal data to verify your mobile number for the reasons mentioned.
For the purposes of this privacy notice:
“Your mobile operator”: The provider of your electronic communication (= data connection with your mobile device) with whom you have a contract for your mobile phone number.
The mobile operators participating in the "Number Verify" service are as follows:

Telekom Deutschland GmbH

At no time your personal data will be exchanged between the mobile network operators.
"Provider oft he app": is the entity/company that offers you the service through the application (aka app) where you see this notice.
„user“, „you“: is the user of the Provider's Application where you see this notice.
What data is processed and how?
Your mobile operator will process the following personal data to check whether the mobile number you have provided matches the number used by the app users:
1. the mobile phone number that you have provided to the app provider. The app provider forwards this data to your mobile operator, who uses this information to check whether this number matches the number used by the app user. Your mobile operator does not store this information beyond this purpose.
2. the mobile phone number and IP address of users who are online in the mobile network (not in WI-FI networks) and use the app. This information is processed by the mobile network operator in order to match the mobile phone number you entered in the app with the mobile phone number of your SIM card, which is connected to the mobile network of your operator, using the transmitted IP address. Your mobile operator does not store this information beyond this purpose.
Your mobile operator does not share any of your personal information, such as your mobile number, with the app provider or anyone else. The only information your mobile operator shares with an app provider is a "true/false" information after the verification process is completed to indicate whether the mobile number provided by the app provider matches the app user's number. Your data is primarily processed in Germany and in the European Union (EU) and the European Economic Area (EEA). As far as parts of the processing take place outside the EU/EEA, the processing takes place exclusively after the conclusion of so-called standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission and/or based on an adequacy decision of the EU Commission.
What is the legal basis for the processing?
Your mobile network operator processes your personal data (as described above) based on the consent you have given within the meaning of Section 9 (2) sentence 1 variant 3 TTDSG (Telecommunications Telemedia Data Protection Act) in conjunction with Art. 7 GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation). The IP address is processed by your mobile operator for the purpose of offering a value added service. The effect of your consent has been consumed with your confirmation (tap/click on the [Sign in] button), the processing based on your consent is then carried out once in real time.
The additional value of this service is in particular to prevent and detect fraudulent activities on your account, as well as fraud or identity theft, which could cause you damage (e. g. financial losses, additional expenses or other inconveniences).
